A graveyard of languages

Dr Ganesh Naryandas Devy, literary scholar and cultural activist who headed the People's Linguistic Survey of India, a government study between 2010 and 2013, says that India is becoming a graveyard of languages. Dr Devy says that owing to migration of people from different parts of the country towards urban areas for their livelihood, the native languages are slowly dying out. Morover, Dr. Devi researched that "Banjara's Gor-Boli is one of them and it is rapidly dying. On Prime Time, Dr Devy talks about languages, how they evolve and why languages should be preserved.
