News item is generally organised in 4 parts,
( कोणतीही बातमी चार भागात विभागलेली असते)
1. The headline    (ठळक मथळा)
2. The dateline     (स्थल-काल संक्षेप)
3. The lead/Intro  ( प्रस्तावना)
4. The main body of the news (मुख्य बातमी)
 परीक्षेमध्ये विद्यार्थ्यांना वर्तमानपत्रात प्रकाशित झालेल्या बातम्यांची दोन  headlines दिलेले असतात  विद्यार्थ्यांनी दोन पैकी एकाची निवड करून वरील स्टेप प्रमाणे बातमी लिहावयाची आहे.

  HOW TO WRITE A NEWS REPORT?

Steps:

 1. Head line:
Ex. FLOOD SITUATION GRIM IN KERALA

2. TEE DATE LINE:
consist the following four items

( I) The name of the Reporter
(ii)  The name of the town/city (
(ii)  The name of the Month
(ix) The date
a)  The name of the Reporter ( बातमीदार)
     उदा. ( By our Correspondent)
            ( By our Staff Reporter)
             ( By our Staff Reporte)
             ( PRESS TRUST OF INDIA)
              EXPRESs NEWS SERVICE etc.

b) The name of the town/city.
Ex., MUMBAI, AURANGABAD, PUNE, NACPUR etc.

c) The name of the Month/date :
Ex. June 5, March 10 etc.
 The date line consisting above four items is written immediately after the headline.

3. The Lea/Intro:
  The opening paragraph of the news item is called the 'lead. It is called the lead of the story. It is also called 'Intro' because it introduces the rest of the story to the reader. The 'leads'
must answer the following questions.
या पहिल्या प्रास्ताविक परिच्छेदात खालील उत्तरे अपेक्षित आहेत.
Who ? How ? How many ?  When ?  Where ? Why ? What ? etc.

4. Main body of the news item:
 This short containing second paragraph gives the details of the incident( घटना)
- या परिच्छेदात घटना सविस्तर तपशीलवार वर्णन करावी.
- परीक्षेत या परिषदेसाठी दोन गुण आहेत.

News Items:
1. First paragraph:  Intro/ lead paragraph  2. Second paragraph:  Short containing paragraph,
- बातमीची रचना करताना शीर्षकानुसार विस्तार कल्पनेतून विचारपूर्वक करावयाचा आहे
- परीक्षेत हमखास या पाच प्रकारच्या  बातम्या पैकी  प्रश्न असतो जसे- Accident News,  Sport, Strike ,Rain, About any celebration

PETROL PUMP OWNERS OBSERVENE ONE DAY STRIKE

Mumbai, MARCH, 2

 Near about 300 hundred petrol pump ownerst hroughout Maharshtra observe one day strike on 1stM arch, for their long pending demands of regulars upply and tax rates. The union leaders of the petrolp ump owners claim that the strike is statewide andh undred percent successful says our reporter.

 Petrol pump owners throughout Maharashtrah ave called one day strike on March 1st. At least 300h undred petrol pump owners H.P. and B.P have joined the strike. All the petrol pumps remained closed on the day. Their union leaders presented their mamorandom to the concerned authorities. This strike has paralysed transport system throughout Maharashtra and adjoining states. It has affected business and market.There were less vehicles on the road due to lack of petrol or diesel. The meeting has been fixed on March 12 to discuss their issue. The union leaders said that the owners will go on indefinite strike if all their demands were not fulfilled by the concerned authorities.
