The Daisy
Q. Read the following extract and do the activities that follows:
....(I have no water.... sorrowfully p. 172)
1. Select and explain the most appropriate title to the theme of the extract and explain its significance (2)
a) The unrequited love
b) The triangle love
c) Love that knows sacrifice
2. Provide imaginary ending (2)
Provide a different ending to the extent in about 50 words.

Title: Love that knows sacrifice
Without water the bird was dying. It felt sad to part with the daisy. Though it was dying it kissed the little daisy. The daily tried to move forward to the bird but it couldn't. Then it gave out its fragrance to console the bird. The love between the bird and the flower is an example of a union of the true soul.

(2) Provide imaginary ending:
Though the bird tore up the grass, it could not get any relief. It was completely exhausted and it sat on the floor of the cage. Suddenly it heard the whistling of The watchman. It collected all its surviving strength and gave a loud cry for minutes together, the watchman opened the gate, saw the dying bird and rushed for water and save it.
